BIO
Chip Romanovich has been fishing since he was a young boy, cutting his teeth catching bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish in Eagle Creek Reservoir. He began kayak fishing in 2017, and found some early success - one win, six Top-10 finishes and a berth in the Kayak Bass Series (KBS) National Championship, where he finished in sixth place.
The Indianapolis native, and current West Lafayette resident, has learned to be competitive in many different environments - using a variety of styles. Romanovich has competed in several state series, including Grass Roots Bass Yakin (GRBY), winning the Geist Reservoir Angler of the Year title, and the inaugural GRBY State Championship in 2019.
He has also fished in several Kayak Bass Fishing (KBF) Trail Series events, as well as the KBF National Championship; in 2020 Romanovich qualified for the KBF State Challenge championship, the KBF Trail Series Championship, and the KBF National Championship.
He was named to the Indianapolis Knights in 2021, and qualified for the KFL - Kayak Fishing League Tank Tournament that same year.
He has been married to his beautiful wife Kristen for 27 years, and has three amazing children, Elyse Kizior, Emily Romanovich, and Olivia Romanovich.
