We are just a couple of short days away from the opening day of the Indianapolis Boat Sport & Travel Show / Heartland Kayak Fishing Summit - Presented by Moving Water Outfitters.
This Expo is a Hoosier State tradition, going back to 1953, and has been produced by the Renfro family since 1963. For many, this is the cure for cabin fever and the kick-off to the new fishing season.
This year, the Heartland Kayak Fishing Summit will be back at the Indianapolis Boat, Sport, and Travel Show, bringing some of the best brands and influencers in the kayak fishing industry to center stage for anglers and outdoorsmen alike to experience.
Talk how, what, and why with experienced pro staff and industry representatives. Swap fishing stories and gather advice for set-ups with members of each vendor’s fishing team.
The summit has something for all outdoor enthusiasts- from dedicated fishing kayaks to recreational models, to boats that can be set up for hunting.
This event is great for everyone – whether you’ve never been in a kayak or you are an experienced paddler who is looking for their next model!
The demo pool will be back in action at the Heartland Kayak Fishing Summit. This year we will have a larger pool - giving you more room to test out kayaks on the water.

We’re throwing a Huge Party at the Downtown Indy Sun King Brewery Location! Come hang out with us and see some of your Hoosier Kayak Fishing buddies and maybe make a few new ones too! The Godfather, Chad Hoover himself, will be in attendance and giving away some amazing prizes!
The event is open to anyone who loves the sport of kayak bass fishing or is interested in getting involved in the local kayak bass fishing community. Family and Friends are welcome. There are no age restrictions for the event. We do have a limited amount of food and drinks that will be provided, this will be on a first come first serve basis. Guests may order additional food and drinks at their expense.

Every year there are men and women within our community that go above and beyond to help their communities, promote the sport, lend a helping hand to their fellow anglers, go out of their way to protect our natural resources, and most importantly, set a guiding example of what a true sportsman should look like.
With this in mind, we have launched the HKB Sportsman of the year award to be presented to one individual from our community, that represents the best version of the community.
We collected a ton of Nominations, and the count is complete! We will be presenting the 2021 HKB Sportsman of the year award to the recipient at the HKB Bash!
