We have been hinting around about the possibility of some big things coming out of the KBF camp that would have a significant impact on our local kayak bass fishing community:
Well, here it is!
We are excited to announce we are partnering with KBF, and two of our local clubs here in the Hoosier State, to bring even more opportunities to our anglers. Over the last several years, Chad & Kristie Hoover have poured resources into the state of Indiana, and have helped cultivate the amazing culture we have here in the Hoosier state. In fact, we are one of the largest and fastest growing states in the sport with regards to memberships and participation.
With that being said, KBF graciously offered to double down on Indiana, giving back to our growing community in a big way! Over the last several weeks, Hoosier Kayak Bassin has been working with Chad and Kristie, alongside all of our partner organizations, to put together a KBF Ambassador Series for Indiana.
With all the existing opportunities we have in our state, we didn't feel it was necessary to bring yet another tournament series to Indiana. With already so many great events taking place, it was obvious the best way to support our existing clubs and give anglers more opportunities was to simply offer additional support, funding, and prizes to as many events as we could. These Ambassador Series Events will not have an additional entry fee or leaderboard, and there will be no additional AOY standings to fight for … but there will be plenty of added benefits for participating in these events.
So let's break it down…
For 2022, there will be a total of six Ambassador Series Events, spread out evenly across Indiana Kayak Anglers and Southern Indiana Yak Anglers (three events each). Additionally, the HKB Last Chance and Turkey Bowl will also be Ambassador Series Events. This is all on top of the support KBF is giving to the HKB State Championship and the GRBY Series. These events will operate under the hosting clubs’ rules and tournament format. Again, there is no additional entry fee or leaderboard.
Each of these six events from IKA and SIYAK will have a guaranteed $500 1st place bonus, which is NOT dependent on the number of entries or KBF membership status! That's right, it's just that simple … win an Ambassador Series Event and claim a $500 bonus - on top of the event regular payout! HKB Events will have a similar structure to bonus money - more on that later.
On top of the $500 1st place bonus, anglers finishing the top three will also receive a “Big Check” similar to the ones given out at KBF Trail Series events, and a custom Ketch Trophy, which we will be revealing in the very near future.
BUT WAIT… there's more!
In all Ambassador Series events this season, the top 10 percent of the field qualify for the 2022 KBF National Championship on Kentucky Lake!
Kayak Bass Fishing is also offering these clubs help with administrative costs, photography, and providing additional media support to bring more awareness to these events while promoting each series and the anglers.
In summary, get ready to fish your butts off this season, and take advantage of the amazing opportunities available in the Hoosier state! There has never been more cash, prizes, trophies, and qualifications to be won than there is in 2022! Mark your calendars, and we look forward to seeing you on the water.
A huge thanks goes to Chad, Kristie, and the entire KBF team for all their generous support and hard work. We also want to thank the amazing admins and leaders here in the local kayak fishing community for always working hard to make sure our anglers have plenty of opportunities to compete and enjoy the outdoors.
